Biggs Applauds Brnovich for Joining Lawsuit Against Obama Admin

May 25, 2016

GILBERT (May 25) – Senate President Andy Biggs today applauded Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich in joining the lawsuit against the Obama Administration over their decision to tie federal funding for schools to allowing children of the opposite sex to use the same facilities. Biggs release the following statement:

“Last night, I called on Attorney General Mark Brnovich to join the Texas Attorney General in suing the Obama Administration over their appalling decision to tie federal funding for schools to allowing children of the opposite sex to use the same facilities. Today, I am very pleased to learn that General Brnovich has, in fact, joined that lawsuit. Arizona voters are outraged over the rampant overreach that this administration has involved itself in since day one of President Obama’s first term, and it was abundantly clear that this was yet another edict that ran afoul of the tenth amendment. In joining this lawsuit, General Brnovich is standing up for the Constitutional rights of all Arizonans, and I am proud to stand behind him.”
