Andy Biggs Applauds Efforts to Censure IRS Commissioner Koskinen
June 13, 2016
GILBERT – Andy Biggs released the following statement in response to the House Committee on Oversight and Government’s announcement that it will be voting on a measure that will censure IRS Commissioner John Koskinen next Wednesday. Biggs will continue to ensure Congress holds Louis Lerner and those responsible accountable when he gets to Congress.
“I applaud Chairman Jason Chaffetz and members of the House Oversight and Government Committee for taking bold leadership to censure IRS Commissioner Koskinen. Commissioner Koskinen’s failure to disclose information to Congress regarding the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups has created a mistrust within the American public and he must be held accountable. The IRS’s abuse of power against its own people is outrageous and I look forward to seeing this measure pass in the affirmative.”
