Statement on the F.B.I.’s Findings on the Clinton E-mail Scandal
July 6, 2016
GILBERT – Today, Andy Biggs released the following statement after F.B.I. Director James Comey recommended that no criminal charges be brought against Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information:
“I am troubled and surprised that the F.B.I. closed its investigation on democrat presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton,” Andy Biggs said. “The correct thing to do would have been to provide the information to the prosecutor and let the prosecutor make the decision on whether to proceed with charges against Mrs. Clinton. Evidence strongly suggests that Hillary Clinton was “extremely careless” in her handling of classified information concerning our national security during her time as Secretary of State. This is not a Republican or Democrat issue. This is an issue of honesty, integrity, and commitment to doing the right thing and to uphold the rule of law when no one is looking. Mrs. Clinton has demonstrated that she is unfit to hold any public office, and demonstrates her contempt for Americans by pursuing the highest office in the land.
“We need bold leaders who will step up to the plate, and stand for the rule of law and against crooked politicians like Hillary Clinton. The culture of Washington, D.C. struggles to hold the Clinton Machine accountable for their actions. I look forward to joining those already fighting the good fight in D.C. and helping them to expose and punish those who think that they are above the law.”
